Who I am

I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist based in Archway, North London, offering open-ended, long-term therapy both in person and online.

I work with people experiencing a range of difficulties, including:

  • depression
  • anxiety and panic attacks
  • obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • low self-esteem
  • body image and body dysmorphic concerns
  • communication problems
  • sex and relationship issues
  • confusion over gender/sexual identity
  • self-harm and trauma

My approach addresses these symptoms directly, while also looking beyond them, to what they may be trying to communicate .

I trained at The Guild of Psychotherapists, one of the UK’s leading psychoanalytic training institutions and an organisational member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I am fully qualified as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, and am in the process of applying to the UKCP for full clinical membership. I practise in accordance with UKCP’s Code of Ethics and Professional Practice.

My clinical experience includes a psychiatric placement at Highgate Mental Health Centre, alongside volunteer work with The Listening Place, supporting people experiencing suicidal thoughts and emotional distress.

Drawing on this training and experience, I offer a safe, confidential space to explore your thoughts, emotions, and relationships at your own pace. Psychoanalytic work can help you understand recurring patterns, process past experiences, and bring about lasting change.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I studied Anthropology at UCL and Cambridge, completing a PhD in Social Anthropology in 2006.

This background has given me a deep awareness of the diversity of human ways of being and relating — an understanding that there is no single, fixed template for what counts as “normal.” I bring this same openness into the therapy room, meeting each person’s experience on its own terms rather than measuring it against a fixed standard, including in relation to gender identity, sexuality, and relationship structures. I aim to provide an LGBTQI-affirmative space, sensitive to the particular experiences and pressures that can come with navigating identity outside dominant norms.

Sessions are available in English and Greek.
